Don't listen to Spencer's last post, it's a lie, she's being a dildo.
One of my best friends happens to be selling his art work to earn extra cash. If anyone is interested in any of these or something similar, he doesn't charge a lot. The prices depend on the size of the art work, you can look through more of his art on his store site: whatever94.storenvy.com
(Excuse the horrible quality of the photo.)
This place has to be one of the GREATEST stores. To people who love thrift stores and antiques, this store is definitely for you. They have a wide range of everything, from 1920's antique gowns (which I now have two of, and are in great condition) to old military jackets, to old books. Even the dressing room screams antique. And to top all of that off, the workers are extremely friendly and helpful! I suggest Retro Rosie's and Cobwebs to EVERYONE. Located in Bradenton, Florida. 817 Manatee Ave E 34208 About 4 days ago I started reading the Catcher in the Rye, which everyone says is a "great American classic". I on the other hand, had a very hard time figuring out why. Many different times there would be the same sentence twice, one right after the other (except the second sentence was just revised). I'm guessing that's how Holden was intended to talk, either way it made it hard for me to keep reading. The main thing that made it hard for me to keep reading on was the simple fact that the book didn't seem to have any main purpose, just some annoying kid that wont stop blabbering about how horrible his life is. Which in all honesty is his fault. I'm sure "old Sally Hayes" would have given him a chance if he wasn't pushy and rude. And seriously, you meet up with an intellectual friend and the only thing you can do is ask unwanted sexual questions. All in all I would give the book half a star. Definitely not one I would want to read again. Ever.
I'm here to talk about my amount of confusion on what people call "Hipster Music".
Okay, for right now I am here to be quite blunt. Many people now a days are taking music genre's like Indie, Indie Pop, some Gothic Rock, a little bit of Folk, and even 80's New Wave and compiling them into one music genre. I would personally love to take a minute and say, no no no. Bands like The Cure, Sisters of Mercy and Bauhaus DO NOT fall under the same music genre as bands like Passion Pit or Walk the Moon. The first set of bands are 100% completely different from the second set. Take the song Marian (Sisters of Mercy) and compare it to Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) and you'll see that the two are no where close to being the same. Why people are attempting to place the two into the exact same 'made up' music genre doesn't seem to make sense to me. I put emphasis on made up because, well, Hipster ISN'T a music genre. It's a label made up by society for people who were trying to escape being labeled (kind of ironic). Now it's just a confusing stereotype that some people use, while others get extremely mad when called it. And people are usually only called it, based on what they're wearing, not what they are listening to. The funny thing is, all the music that people tried telling me are Hipster bands, you can find on most "popular" radio channels that majority of teenagers listen to. I will never understand people’s fascination with Starbucks. You drink coffee because it’s good, or it keeps you awake. You don’t drink it because everyone else does. It’s coffee! A drink! The few time’s I’ve actually been to Starbucks I’ve gotten a really bad stomach ache. The Mocha Frappucino I had, tasted like bland milk, and the green tea tasted like soap. The last time I went into a Starbucks was a little over 2 months ago. I sat down after I ordered my drink. While waiting I started looking around the room, nothing interesting going on. Then some random teenage girl came in with long brown hair, wearing a Lana Del Rey T-shirt. No idea who she was, the only reason she caught my eye was because after she got her coffee she took two sips of it, took a picture with it using her phone, threw it away and left. Suggestion, try a few local coffee shops, you just might enjoy it better.
